Technical
The Capital platform runs on a REST API, using a fully stateless back-end that facilitates painless load balancing. Every front-end application in the Capital suite communicates through this API. Anything you see any Capital application doing, you can do in your own applications, no matter what the platform.
Both the customer and introducer portals are fully responsive web applications, changing their visual configuration based on the device type used to access them. The applications maintain full functionality whether they’re accessed on a phone, tablet, laptop or desktop.
You can host a Capital platform instance yourself on premises, use a virtual host or data centre, or host in the cloud. Capital can be run from a single server doing everything, to multiple physically separate servers running in a farm. The deployment options are endless.
Capital was designed from the outset to be extended as much as possible. The behaviour of the system can be completely transformed, depending on what you need, through a plugin framework that gives you full access to the internal model while maintaining access controls and auditing.
Capital uses Microsoft’s SQL Server Reporting Services, and integrates it into the desktop application for ease of use. Using SSRS, reports can be scheduled to run out of hours and be delivered to your inbox in whatever format you want.
You can use Capital as a fully-fledged document management system. Create templates using Microsoft Word, and have them automatically generated as system events occur. You can also attach documents and files not generated by the platform itself. The document library can be locked down with no direct network access, and any documents viewed from Capital can be transmitted as read-only PDF files. All document access is audited.
